Happy Mother’s Day!

Here in the U.K today is Mother’s Day. This is a shout out to all those mums who take their children off on adventures around the globe. This is also a shout out to our mums wherever they took us. When I was little my mum felt too concerned due to feelings of claustrophobia to get on a plane. My dad worked for British Airways but I still didn’t manage to get on a plane until my 18th birthday when I saved up and bought a ticket to California myself. I remember at the time people think I was crazy to fly on my own for the first time. I was going to visit family there. I was a little scared but excited at the same time. As a result of travelling for the first time on my 18th I had a thirty five hour 18th birthday. This was the start on my adventures.

This was me in Hollywood many moons ago!

And here I am aged around two on our regular family holiday to Swanage in Dorset on the English South Coast.

As a mum now myself I intend to show my daughter what is out there in the world.
